They have a full featured solution and I love the flexibility and all the ways I can add my own branding throughout to really make it align with my brand.
I think for some users it is a destination so I have to work hard to build the habit of them going there. But I mainly use it for my paid communities and people pay attention to what they pay for. I think if I were using this to replace my free FB group, I'd have more trouble.
I love that they combine the learning and course capabilities with a really robust community building platform. This is really important to my brand and business. Community is everything, especially in the personal growth industry.
The focus on developing the plan and message first before launching a community website was very useful in their training program. This helped me develop the messaging and organize the structure of the community for implementation on the website. The software solution includes extremely easy links to Zoom, which makes setting up events very simple. There is also a built-in live streaming function. There are continuous updates and enhancements in the software and the support for site owners includes weekly workshops in addition to chat technical support. for complex issues technical support can be scheduled. While there is a focus on membership, there is the ability to build and charge for access to paywalled areas, called spaces, the ability to create training programs, both live and pre-recorded, and to set pricing to charge for non-member and member pricing. New features are introduced regularly and now include the ability to move members from one plan to another, including the ability to move members to a higher price plan. A new AI tool allows quick development of content, and it's still possible to keep a very simple membership/community website and grow.
The collections and spaces' structure takes some time to understand, but the pre-set design includes a good starting point and once you understand that, it's easy to manage.
I am able to create a membership website that allows people with similar interests to discover and connect with each other, while at the same time offer learning and courseware solutions for sale and for upsell solutions to the existing members. My current membership site had paywall spaces, but did not have a solution to integrate with Zoom and was more heavily focused on text and image, not video. Might Networks gives a site owner the ability to allow users to connect with each other in a variety of ways and the structure encourages members to contribute their own content, which my prior site did not accomplish.
I've used Mighty Networks as both an individual and for our organization, and I love the ability to easily and quickly plug into the MN framework and get things moving right away. With other platforms I've used, there's a ton of setup that is required in order to get the space ready before you invite members in. With MN, the design is super solid and interface is pretty much ready to go, so you can quickly get an MVP going ASAP and invite people in. Plus the level of customization makes it effortless to make your community spaces unique and bespoke to your goals.
I do sometimes wish that MN had a built-in CRM or email distribution so that I didn't need to use a separate platform for my monthly newsletters. It's super easy to generate my member list, upload to Hubspot, and see tons of analytics, so it's a trade off that is well worth it. I also wish I could customize the notification emails a bit more -- sometimes my members using Outlook have a hard time seeing the generated emails in their full integrity. Not a huge deal though.
Our company serves large organizations who sponsor learning and training for the employees in their companies, so we use MN as our space for program updates, as a repository for resources (including our LMS/self-study courses), and spaces for community connections and private cohort areas. We needed a combination LMS/Repository/Community platform, and our Mighty Pro license gives us everything we need and more. We love the white label app that our clients can download for easy access too.
I'm involved in a number of networks who use Mighty Networks. This is, in itself, helpful as I don't have to keep learning new platforms. However it also handles everything I need, including chats, posts, meetings, groups etc. I've also found the Help people very helpful.
The major change I'd appreciate is being able to create an event once and share it in multiple networks. At the moment I have to keep duplicating an event which I want to share with several groups. I also don't find the member listing very intuitive. I'd like to be able to sort members' names in different way (e.g. alphabetical), and to filter.
Staying in collaborative relationship with people all over the globe. This has enabled me to be part of a vibrant and productive community which I believe is creating vital change in the world.

I love the formatting of MN, how easy it is to navigate and how it creates a space for my clients to gather and connect more with me and each other. I also love that there is an app!
There are still a few glitches - Getting my many spaces set up, and helping my clients also navigate this setup, has been challenging. I'd love to have an easy "home" space where I can add everyone and go live, but for now this is two distinct spaces and that has been challenging.
I like having my clients away from the distraction of other social platforms, like facebook and instagram. I also like being able to go live, and set up private spaces for classes and courses.
