I love that it integrates with a lot of other programs like LinkedIn, Calendy, GSuite and there is a lot of reporting that can be done. Easy system to use and gets the job done.
I wish it was a little more updated in terms of usage and things were more straightforward. There are a lot of functions in the ATS so sometimes you have to dig to get the information, this system may be difficult to use for someone early in their career in terms of navigation and using it effectively.
Saving time by rejecting out candidates that don't answer the right questions at the top of the funnel, booking phone screens right into my calendar, integration with calendy is very helpful
Greenhouse is easy to use, their customer support is great, they have many off-the-shelf integrations to supplement the features that don't meet requirements.
There are certain features that could use improvement such as approvals, managing evergreen reqs, etc.
We use Greenhouse to track all of our applicants/candidates globablly.
ease of use, decent landing page, the activity feed for each candidate is great, ability to assign specific hiring manager permissions, setting up approval chains, and uploading NDAs.
There is some work that needs to be done with some of their integrations (DocuSign, HiBob) which prevented me from giving it a ten. Would also like the ability to have the option of downloading all previous scorecards, not just the ones from the specific job, so if you had a candidate that you previously considered, you could add those old scorecards to your bundle if they addded/diluted value.
executing recruiting tasks, keeping track of candidate journey, generating recruiting reports to understand talent acquisition metrics
Greenhouse is a user friendly system for all your recruiting needs. Creating requistions is a fast and easy process.
Sometimes I can't see the drafts of my requisitions on my dashboard.
Easy tracking of candidates throughout organization.
I think the user experience as a recruiter is really strong. It has a clear visusal element, which makes it simple to use and follow the workflow of a recruitment process.
At the moment I use the option of adding pre-qualifying questions to my adverts, however we're unable to search candidates based on their answers For exmaple if would be able to search for candidates we'd be unable to support relocation or visa support, or if their salary expectations were out of our budget.
Pipelining applications
Candidate tracking is good. Workflow is easy to set up. Highly customizable. Many fetures (a lot of which we have no use for...) Makes a smaller firm look very professional to candidates.
can be difficult to master for the "occasional user . Pricing is not based on usage or number of user but rather on total headcount of yoru company which seems very unfair. support is via text unless you want to pay more
Managing many applicants with few resources
Greenhouse's dashboard UI provides an easy way to review the open roles, to-do list items, and applications in one snapshot for streamlined review. The ability for stage transitions between interview stages helps automate recruiting processes, as well the ability to copy role setups helps decrease the manual effort to create and post a job live.
Integration with LinkedIn Recruiter can be improved. Whenever I convert a propsect into a candidate, I have to select which role the prospect is for, although I make that selection when adding it to Greennhouse from LinkedIn Recruiter. In terms of new features, creating the ability to track interviewer training would be really helpful so recruiters can see how many new interviewers need to shadow before being fully ramped up.
Greenhouse helps track all activity for recruiting, including job posts, candidate, LinkedIn Recruiter prospects, and tracking which platforms candidates are using to apply to our roles. This one-stop shop type of approach helps decrease possibilities fo missing information and being able to refer to information in a clear, efficient way.
Flexibility and ease of use. Also straight forward configuration.
Reporting and advance analytics - this can attributed to a number of items from our side.
Integration and reporting.
I like its ease of use and how functional it is at reviewing lots of applications at once
I wish there was better data / reporting functionality and integrations with google sheets
It makes interviewing candidates significantly easier than having to record in a google doc
Greenhouse is easy to use from an end user perspective (interviewers & recruiters). It's easy to see what candidates you're set up to interview, view their application, and any previous activity that's happened with them. Additionally, the administrative controls are pretty strong -- permissioning is customizable and relatively easy. It's also easy to integrate with job sites like Linkedin to drive more applications. Lastly, the support is phenomenal. Most chat support functions for SaaS products are severely lacking, but Greenhouse has done a fanastic job on theirs. The support agents respond quickly and know the product. I've interacted with them countless times and am always impressed.
The native reporting functionality could use some work. The canned reports are relatively inflexible and it's hard to get the data into a more usable format absent hooking it up to a BI tool. If you want real insights, it's likely you'll have to download data into a spreadsheet tool.
Helping us source candidates, manage interview processes, and collect data to improve our recruiting efforts.
Simple system and helpful resources to teach you how to do stuff in the system. Good customer support
It's simplicity and manual setup. There are areas for improvement but for a small enterprise, Greenhouse is a good option
Managing candidates
User Friendly, can easily upload resume, there's an available customer support
i am sometimes having difficulty to navigate the report creation
It makes my task easier as the information auto populate when I drag or upload the document.
Being able to source through inbound applications using the full-text search feature as well as the application review feature and the LinkedIn auto job postings.
Not being able to source or identify diverse candidates for technical roles.
Overall tracking and maintenance of applicant applications.
Easy to use. The team always comes up with new features. They listen to the feedback we provide and deliver. I like that the different stages can easily be personalized. I allows a smooth team work.
CRM function could be better. More specifically, once the requisition is filled, I wish we were capable to maintain visibility of past candidates and easily be able to reach out. Also, I wish it was possible to schedule a call with a prospect, without housing them in a specific req.
We use Greenhouse as ATS. I work and communicate with different hiring managers, and recommend candidates to my other fellow recruiters. It saves time to just be able to tag a candidate. I also like the different ways you can integrate other systems into Greenhouse.
Easy to use interface. Able to customize quite a lot of different options.
Sometimes there are odd glitches, i.e - when turning candidates down via emails sent from GH you have to constantly select when you'd like to send the email from a drop-down.
GH is doing a great job keeping candidates organized for me. What I love is the tagging option, where you can keep tabs on your silver medalist candidates. It also allows me more time to work on other projects due to streamlining processes.
- It integrates well with our other systems - Our team has found it easy to provide feedback and interview summaries - Provides information in one place (resumes, previous feedback etc) - It is relatively easy to onboard new recruiters - Provides a seemless interaction with the candidate
- The pricing is relatively high for Australian companies - Requires integration support
- It allows us to manage the recruitment process end to end - It integrates with various job marketing platforms - It allows for changes in our recruitment team with minimal impact
Easy to view the pipeline health, tracking
Poor reporting capabilities, pipelining requisitions is difficult to parse who's applied to what role
We need an ATS. Allows us to track applicants and communicate the pipeline to our hiring managers.
Really empowered our distributed team to collaborate on the recruitment process
Took a little bit of time to set up, but once it was up and running was smooth sailing
Application tracking system for a highly distributed team. All in the same space!
Upside of using greenhouse is there's no need to create a log in
Inability to track applications as an applicant
Ability for applicants to apply
Ease of use to post jobs With clear detailed job description
So far nothing I've found to dislike about greenhouse
Greenhouse keeps all of our applicants in one place and makes it easy to keep all details
