I like its stability as a broadcast platform. It has generally proved reliable as a tool for hosting webinars.

It lacks ability to personalise - for example, the registration form is quite inflexible. It also lacks richer features that other webinar tools now have - for example, the ability to provide break-out rooms, or even the ability for participants to see all the questions submitted during the course of an event. I am also very frustrated that webinar data is only held for 12 months - this means that valuable analytics data may be lost unless it is proactively downloaded. The analytics function should be much stronger, allowing you to see webinar behaviour by user, instead of only webinar by webinar.

Delivering a programme of B2B webinars to a growing audience of professionals. It has provided a solid albeit basic broadcast channel for live and on-demand webinars.

As an attendee it functions pretty well but user side is not as good.

It just doesn't function as well as other options out there in the market. Always more confusion when starting up and joining a call.

It works for running webinars where you need to be able to control participant behavior ie video and sound.

I like the ease of setting up a webinar. It has many features that make creating your own webinars easy such as registration, email reminders, records your webinars, and more.

The platform lowers your video quality. We film in HD1080, but it compresses it down and will occasionally drop frames. We use the platform for their third party integration and one time when we had a webinar, I tried to connect the platform to third-party source and it would not connect. It completely ruined the webinar and support could never give me a reason why the source would not connect.

It makes registration easier and streamlines most of the customer experience. It would take a while to replicate all the features they off us, on our own.

It has all the standard webinar functions and works consistently.

Many webinar systems no longer require a software download or an app download if on mobile but Gotowebinar does. I really wish this would be updated.

No matter how many we do, we always have issues starting a meeting - we're constantly checking sound, finding out something was accidentally on mute or not projecting, etc. Yes, some of this is user error, but some of it is also poor UX because we're well educated, successful people and we're still having these challenges.

Trying to get a decent number of people to all hear/view the same thing without interrupting (and then be able to view it back at a later date).

They have decent pricing for the product and it can be easy to use if you use all of their pre set emails.

Terrible integration with Marketo. The API was always broken and it created more manual work than it automated.

We do live broadcasts at a university with the following needs: capture a lecture with usually powerpoint and a Q&A. The lecture needs to be broadcast and the content needs to be available in decent enough quality to take into post to make a youtube video. We need it accessible to both students and our larger community with ease. I like that GotoWebinar does this and does this in a way that is intuitive. I like the metrics I get with GoToWebinar, I like a lot of the personalization I have access to in regards to polling and branding. The application for a speaker condenses A LOT in a small space and, while at first a bit overwhelming, has good flow to it.

Issues we've had revolve in a way around the way we use GotoWebinar to produce lectures. We use a camera control system manned at the back of the room for our cameras and audio. That person then needs access to test GotoWebinar during set-up. It has been easy in the past to log into the wrong webinar as the desktop application retains information from previous sessions. GotoWebinar also does not provide "test" environments and instead someone with a license is required to set up a testing environment for each session, causing headaches as we don't want those technicians to have access to set up. While this would resolve after the first session or so in the same room, we have yet to find a way for the service to retain seminar preferences and need to make sure both techs and speakers know to configure the necessary settings before going live. This becomes intuitive after a few sessions but as speakers and support change sometimes weekly and the application is very dense we need to make sure to have one sheets out to remind our folks what to check for. Things like the microphone and video camera settings are obvious, but selecting the correct monitor to display and how to display it, Q&A options, etc. are not readily spotted until we're under way. That said, I feel these issues are rather small and highlight the advantages of the platform in that we've been able to resolve them in a one sheet rather than having to really work to get folks up to speed when going live. For me it speaks to a strength I look for in capture technology: the backend can be complicated as it is my job to figure it out. I want the front end to be easy to use and I think GotoWebinar is effective.

How do you create dynamic live content with the best possibility of incident free viewership? GoToWebinar puts the onus of access control squarely on the shoulders of the admin and attempts to make viewing as worry free as possible.

GoToWebinar has an incredible toolset and sophisticated integrations with Marketing tools that makes it simple to build into your workflow. The HubSpot integration is seamless and sends webinar activity to contact's activity log.

The host and attendee panels can feel bloated and overwhelming. When hosting a webinar, you feel like you always need another person (or two) to handle the chat, polls, and controls because they cannot be easily accessed while presenting. The support also is much slower and less delightful than competitors.

GoToWebinar is a reliable tool that helps my business generate leads and facilitate marketing campaigns with ease.

The audio function for simi-live is a disaster. We produce approximately 20 webinars a year and the recording portion is fine - however when we play the recording the audio doesn't work 10% of the time.

Bi-monthly webinars hosted, simi live cast utilizing our email marketing CRM system Eloqua.

It's one of the only really functional webinar products that is publically available at a relatively reasonable price.

It's clunky. We have a business account, and sharing access is not intuitive or helpful.The interface is also dated.

We use it for a better education program for our product, with a side effect of engaging some prospects as well.

GoToWebinar is great for putting on large webinars. I like that you get analytics of how many people attended, when people dropped off, etc.

Muting attendees before they entered the room, was an issue for us but we figured out the hack. Recording the webinars was always an issue, but the issue was more on the actual computers we were using.

GoToWebinar helped us walk through new processes with new members and staff. We always had a Q & A afterwards, and we found that a lot of people had similar questions. So it was helpful for us to address those at one time.

The different chat features and poll features are nice for larger meetings

I have experienced various connectivity issues and meetings timing out.

I have used it to meet with clients remotely and share documents with them. It has saved me time from traveling to meet clients in person.

I like how its easy to schedule webinars. It makes it easy because the install doesn't take a long time so if you have a client that doesn't have the product, you don't have to delay your meeting because they forgot to install it earlier.

The connectivity can sometimes be bad. The connection just fails in the middle of the webinar, which is not good during your presentation.

Being able to use this with our clients who are out of the area or not able to come into the office to meet. Helps with scheduling issues that can happen frequently.

Most people have seen/used the service so are comfortable with the brand

If you do "standard" webinars, this is a great value for the money tool. It lets you do pretty much all you need, from presentations to screen sharing, polling etc.

They came up with a much better way to share video (called their video lab feature). This is much needed as the videos are extremely choppy if you just show them via screen sharing. Unfortunately, it does not work consistently, so you really can't use it yet. Support on this has been iffy.

Flexible to upgrade for a "rare occasions" busy webinar while usually running the lower attendance plan. Live Q&A interactions, good recordings to have replays available.
