It is a one stop shop - there is a quick overview available for employees regarding all aspects of their employment. Whether it be training, job information, or everyone's favourite - time off.
There are a couple of limitations, such as, you are not able to send a NEW offer letter to a future employee once they have already signed a previous offer letter. We are hoping that in the future there will be a way to delete the signed offer letter and create a new one to send to the same individual.
BambooHR has helped us keep all of our employee information organized, which has allowed us to generate reports much faster and easier! It is also assisting with setting reminders, such as when a probation or contract end date is nearing for an employee.
BambooHR has a user friendly interface which makes it easy to navigate. Their support team is also top quality, both timely and helpful.
Not all reports can be exported as Excel files such as the signed documents report which can only be printed.
BambooHR provides a system to send and store all onboarding documents. They also provide a tracking system for certifications so that we don't manually have to check every employee but instead can run simple reports.
BambooHR has a system where employees can take care of their own records, whether the company sends them or they upload the information themselves. They can keep track of their earned time off, sick days used, and hours worked. This is great.
Despite the efficiency of the software in handling most documents automatically, there remained a requirement for me to manually scan any papers that were not generated or processed through the automated system. This additional step was necessary to ensure that all relevant information and data were captured and included in the records.
It makes our job much easier. What I mean is, when you create records for employees or temporary workers, you need to make sure everything is in order (like background checks and other necessary documents). With BambooHR, all this tracking and recording is done for you. It saves time and makes HR tasks less boring, while also helping managers and employees ensure they follow all the necassary rules and regulations.
En general es una exccelente herramienta, siempre está disponible, ya sea que la use en Chrome de W11 o en Android. Me gusta mucho la forma que se tiene para poder ver la jerarquía del personal. El precio que pagamos mensualmente por la herramienta me parece acequible y lo que Bamboo me da por ese precio me parece adecuado.
No utilizo diaro Bamboo. En ocasiones me causa confusión encontrar las funciones que requiero, como solicitar vacaciones, particularmente me costó trabajo entender el reporte de vacaciones de toda la empresa, las barras por días no fué intuitivo al principio.
Una de las principales problemas que me ayuda Bamboo HR es la evaluación periódica del personal que me reporta, el SW permita solicitar opiniones de otras personas lo que enriquece la retroalimentación a las personas que laboran para mi. Es realmente útil

Bamboo allows for a one-stop location for business documents, training information, and certifications all run through every major web-browser and very securely!
To date, only the menuing system and navigation could use some streamlining... make it simpler to allow user to quickly access main items within the menu by combining "like" items or offering a "most used"/"favourites" or "What's New?" option to show items within Bamboo.
For me, as an IT person, it's allowed a simplified location to point users to in order to find and access information as well as a way to indicate the information has been accessed and worked on.
The interface is very intuitive, and none of our employees have ever had an issue understanding what they need to do on the platform. It's effortless to set up and highly customizable as well!
The software is missing workflow automation features that other modern HRIS systems have. It would be great to have a workflow builder that can leverage the data in the system.
BambooHR is our employee source of truth. It is the one-stop shop for all people data for our local and international staff (FTEs and contractors). Also, it integrates with almost any other HR platform you can think of so the system is very modular in nature.

It is easy for all employees to access to get their personal information. Managers have all the details at their fingertips without digging through paper files.
Items need to be scanned, then saved and then uploaded to Bamboo. I wish they could just be scanned directly to Bamboo.
It informs me of which employees have time off each day, when reviews are due, 30/60/90 day projects need to be completed for new hires, birthdays and anniversaries.

BambooHR is a very user-friendly application. I like the fact that they are continually improving the software; every month, there are new functionalities that are making my work always more straightforward.
There is nothing that I dislike in this software. Maybe a new functionality that could be useful is to be able to mark the days people are workings for part-time workers, so they are shown as "off" in the calendar the day(s) of the week they are not working.
BambooHR is keeping track of our employees vacations, sick leave, etc. We can also easily store there all the HR documents so the employee can access them quickly. The ATS is great and saving us a lot of time in the recruitment process.

They are basic and do the job for small companies, but could be improved to be much more sophisticated to scale with a company as it grows -Even more opportunity to customize would be handy in some scenarios we've encountered
-Compliance and organization is the most significant benefit, when it comes to signing paperwork and other documentation and then having that documentation live on an employee's individual file is very beneficial

BambooHR doesn't seem to have a robust reporting function. The time off tracking should have some more flexibility to edit and a different form of calculating, for example deducting planned vacations from days available to give a more accurate sum.
BambooHR has a good integration with our Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse). It removes a lot of admin time of creating employee profiles. Although we're not using it now, they have a nice Bamboo Onboarding feature as well which let's you continue to streamline admin work.
BambooHR is the most user-friendly HRIS I have used. Very good for small to medium businesses
It's limited to small and medium businesses, I don't think they can cater at the moment, larger businesses with more complicated admin requirements
It is an all-in-one HRIS system. They even have now a payroll system. I like how it can store data, and do tasks from the beginning to the end of the employee life cycle.
BambooHR is really intuitive to use and very user-friendly. This is my go-to tool whenever I want to browse the employees and know any kinds of details about that person. It is also very easy to set up a feedback mechanism for the direct reports which helps speed up the review process.
There isn't anything I dislike about this tool. However, one simple feature which I would love to see is the ability to turn on dark mode.
Peer feedback is really important aspect of people management and with BambooHR, it has really made it easy to set up a feedback mechanism system that automatically reminds the direct reports which helps speed up the overall review process.
BambooHR Is intuitive, I like being able to see right on the profile page when an employee is due back from leave. I also like being able to set the mandatory training components and properly track them (separately from non-mandatory). Same with Drivers license and education. The Managers appreciate the quick view in seeing how employees have moved around the agency, and who they used to report to
I have not been able to figure out how to do a "time frame" query in the reports function - this means you have sort on the full list then delete records that are outside of the time period. I also find it frustrating when doing a training / certificates list, that I get two columns at the end that says "date completed" with no reference to what course or certificate it is referring to (and the dates are different!!) That there is not a "control" for adding new items (such as job title, location etc) so some people just make up their own and that goofs up the list.
Able to use it as a mini "intranet" where we can upload forms and other documents that all staff can access. It is solving the problem of trying to figure out who someone used to report to or when they are to return from leave. We have been short-staffed, so we have not had the chance to implement some of the features we were originally excited to use, such as onboarding and exiting.
